Mirando al pasado, sin olvidar su procedencia humilde, Yasiel Elizagaray Cardenas decidió fundar YASIEL PROJECT en el 2015, con sede en la ciudad de Trinidad donde actualmente vive. El recuerdo de cómo se abrió caminos por la vida con esfuerzo propio fue el móvil espiritual del artista para ayudar a sus amigos, procedentes en su mayoría de zonas rurales y lugares apartados de las posibilidades profesionales; casi todos graduados de la Escuela de Instructores de Arte han sido patrocinados por su manager que ha decidido “sacarlos adelante”, como el mismo refiere con humildad e inclinación natural de ayudar a los menos favorecidos económica y geográficamente.
En algunas obras se trabaja “a dos manos” con el objetivo de ensenarle la técnica a los demás pintores, significando que Yasiel Elizagaray explica teóricamente y plasma a mano junto con ellos, totalmente ajeno a su línea de trabajo e imparte asesoramientos prácticos como maestro del grupo; es por eso que hay gran variedad de trabajos como bodegones, retratos, figura humana y paisaje urbano.
Las pinturas se firman Yasiel P. porque todavía el grupo está en un proceso de aprendizaje, encauzado a adquirir un estilo propio de trabajo pero el objetivo es mantener siempre el sello de Yasiel P.
Formado por Eduardo, Osley, Reinaldo, El Loco, Rudy, Ramón, Fabián, Conrado, y liderados por su manager, Yasiel Elizagaray, el proyecto es un símbolo de amistad, profesionalismo y laboriosidad que ha roto las cadenas del fatalismo geográfico demostrando la riqueza artística y la virtud del empeño por marchar hacia el futuro con logros, objetivos y rescate de valores.

Looking back on his humble origins, Cuban artist Yasiel Elizagaray Cardenas founded the YASIEL PROJECT in 2015 in the city of Trinidad, Cuba where he currently lives as an "immigrant artist" to the city; the memory of how new roads were opened in his life through effort was the spiritual motivation to lend a hand to longtime friends. The members of YASIEL PROJECT, almost all graduates of the School of Art Instructors in Cabaiguán, Sancti Spiritus Province who also came from mostly rural and remote provincial areas with few professional possibilities, are sponsored by the Project in an effort to "lift them up", reflecting a natural humility and inclination to help the less economically and geographically advantaged of the country.
Under the umbrella of YASIEL PROJECT, a "two hands" approach is taken to painting, with the aim of teaching and practicing skilled professional artistic technique and applying this to the creation of quality artwork for a crowded market, with Yasiel Elizagaray providing practical and theoretically advice as primary artist and teacher of the group. The result is high quality new artwork that is often outside the normal range of style for each individual involved, with portraiture, still life, figurate works and landscapes all represented.
While the ultimate goal is for each member of the Project to become successful in their own individual style of work, all paintings produced under the project are completed and signed by Yasiel Elizagaray as "Yasiel P.", the seal of the project. Members of the group include Eduardo, Osley, Reinaldo, El Loco, Rudy, Ramon, Fabian, and Conrad, led by Yasiel Elizagaray as founder and manager.
YASIEL PROJECT is a symbol of the values of friendship, professionalism and hard work that can break the chains of geographic and economic fatalism. Through the richness of art, the Project confirms the power of determination to move forward and reclaim a secure future.
