Cubanocanadian Artists First Group Exhibition in Trinidad, Cuba

The first collective exhibition of Cubanocanadian artists was held in Trididad, Cuba on Dec. 28th 2012 at the Casa del Joven Creador, under the title ADICIONES / ADDICCIONES. Each member of the five artist cooperative that comprises the core of Cubanocanadian contributed a few pieces to the show, which included new works in oils, acrylics and pastel on canvas and paper, sculptures of recycled street objects, and a presentation of video art to open the show. There was also a tattoo artist creating butterfly tattoos for those brave enough to step up for a permanent souvenir of the evening.
We hope that this is the first of many collective exhibitions for the group, and plans have begun to bring a group exhibition to Canada, with a possible exchange with a group of Canadian artists presenting their work in Cuba.
